4th Advent

Mary and Joseph have arrived at the stable, and all the animals were around. Oliver also wanted to put the crocodiles in the scene, but Thomas was worried that the crocs would eat baby Jesus.

We had a another crisis, Oliver lost baby Jesus, but we found him today so at least he will be around for Xmas. [ROFL]

Our second tree of the year. [the first one died] This one is decorated with beaded decorations, felted items [thanks Janet for the hearts and Linda for the flowers and holly], recycled tin art work and ribbon.

Happy 4th Advent everyone.

3rd Advent

Today we put started to put up our nativity set. Then wooden stable [made by Lindloo] was set out with wooden fences [made by Wilma - Waldorf Constantia]. For advent Thomi and Olli both got wooden chicks and these joined the scene. Next week Mary and Joseph will arrive and await the birth of Jesus.








The first light of Advent is the light of stones.


Stones that live in crystals, seashells, and bones.



The second light of Advent is the light of plants.


Roots, stem, leaf, flower and fruit by whom we live and grow.



The third light of Advent is the light of beasts.


Animals of farm, field, forest, air and sea.


All await the birth in greatest and in least.



The fourth light of Advent is the light of humankind.


The light of love, the light of thought, to give and to understand.

Oh Christmas tree, Oh christmas tree... 2nd Advent

Thomas and I sewed up some Xmas tree decorations. We also added a fimo bead [made earlier in the year by him] to his green and blue sock. Thomas filled them with nuts.

I got an Advent gift! [how cool is that] Thank-you Seuz, it is so lovely and I feel to spoilt, when I opened the box I was really surprised that you would put so much effort into Knitting a gift for me. The sheep is also so cute and loaded with character. Gnomey still needs a name, any ideas?

We lit the two candles and enjoyed our little family.
