Propolis Salve

Here is a great recipe for a propolis salve, I cant wait to make it...

Melt together:

1 oz beeswax
8 oz oil of choice

Let it cool until around 110 degrees

Wisk in:

2 Tbs Propolis Powder
10 drops vitamin E oil
15 - 30 drops of healing Essential Oils

Powdered Propolis can be gritty, so fiddle around to get a smooth consistency.

This will have great healing properties! [anti bacterial AND anti fungal!]

I love Propolis it is another wonder of the world [thank you- kind sweet bees ]

Hi Thanks for asking...
Here is a quote from Wiki....

Propolis is a resinous mixture that bees collect from tree buds, sap flows, or other botanical sources. It is used as a sealant for unwanted open spaces in the hive. Propolis is used for small gaps (approximately 6.35 millimeters (0.3 in) or less), while larger spaces are usually filled with beeswax.

Heating always damages, and it is possible to burn it.

But my hubby recons that propolis is best warmed a little cause then it is not brittle.

I am wondering why you want to heat it? and ot what temperature?

Let me know and then I can answer more clearly
