Our Donkey craft

So here is the first of our homemade donkey toys. Oliver decided that he wanted to cuddle the donkey first so he was involved from the start. Here he is washing the 100% organic cotton that I dyed... [check the speed LOL]

I then painted some darker spots, to create a more uneven colour in the donkey. But untimately this did not remain as dark as I had hoped.
Hello Charlie brown Junior, Now if only I knew how to make the mane.....? Any ideas?
Oliver decided I needed a donkey also.....

Thank you for looking....

Great donkey!! Our mane was just strands of loose spun wool drawn through the loops of knitting one at a time and knotted on.
